Jazz Police, April 2009
They aren't related by biology but Sam Miltich and Dave Karr seem to have a lot more in common than their red
socks -- at least a musical and perhaps a spiritual kinship. The 20-something swing guitarist and the 70-something
king of bop saxophone find plenty of familiar intimacy on their new duet recording.

Duluth Budgeteer, November 2008
"Just You, Just Me,” ... gracefully floats out of your speakers. This is the sound of a group at the top of their game.
Jazz Police, November 2008
The title track is introduced by Sam’s sweet solo, followed by Sam and Dave in duet before the full quartet joins
in at full if gentle swing. Sam and Dave trade leading roles, complementing each other perfectly, and setting
  expectations for all that follows.

Gypsy Jazz: In Search of Django Reinhardt and the Soul of Gypsy Swing
Michael Dregni, Oxford University Press, 2008.
Sammo  appears impossibly young, especially to be playing this venerable music with such eloquence. “All of
Me,” Django's “Swing 41,” “Night and Day,” “Somewhere over the Rainbow,” -- he plays it all, launching
elegant improvisations that carry you far away from a Minnesota winter night back in time to the City of Ligthts in
  the 1930s.
Vintage Guitar Magazine, April 2005
"May Rain" displays a dramatic maturity and sophistication while not losing the joy of playing that jumped off the
tracks of his first CD...the band's original compositions best showcase its originality... Throughout, Sam's
  guitarwork is spirited, inventive, hot...
